1. complete the Rider Registration Form, 2. submit 2025 Season Registration Packet, 3. email your Auto Policy Declaration Page, 4. email your Medical Release Form, 5. pay Team Dues and 6. complete the NICA PitZone Registration.

1. RIDER REGISTRATION

Please fill out the Rider Registration Form. This is the official form to capture all your important information.

2. 2025 Season REGISTRATION PACKET

Please complete the 2025 Team Registration Packet. These are the Team and District forms to be signed.

3. AUTO POLICY DECLARATION

Email us your Auto Policy Declaration page. This is the page that shows your coverage. Please put your last name on the image/pdf you send us.

4. MEDICAL RELEASE

Download and print the Tam Medical Release Form, have your rider’s doctor sign it, then email us the completed form.

5. Team dues

Team dues are $400 per rider for the season, covering equipment, race food, coach and student certification and training, team swag, and much more.

Each rider will also receive a team jersey with their dues. All Freshmen must get a jersey. Returning riders can apply an $85 credit in the Jakroo store to another piece of team kit.

6. NICA REgistrAtion & GET CONNECTED

After you complete your Rider Registration form we will send team members and parents invitations for the sites below.

NICA Pit Zone: To register with NICA and for all league communications and race registrations.

Slack: for daily team communication. Download the app and turn notifications on.

Strava: join the team’s Strava club.

We are categorized as a club, but we behave like a varsity sport and are a competitive cross country mountain bike team.

 

ORDER YOUR CUSTOM TAM TEAM KIT

We’ve negotiated an extraordinary deal on team kits with our sponsor Jakroo. Riders can personalize their jersey by adding their name to the sleeve. Kits are delivered directly to you. The store will be open for two weeks, closing on December 6th.  Jakroo offers us bulk team “tier” pricing - the more we order as a group the cheaper our individual orders become. Our discount is already baked into the cost.

  • PIZZA LUNCH / Mr. Brow's Room

    OCTOBER 29th - lunch period

    Come meet Coach Matt and Coach Joe for pizza during lunch periiod. We’ll meet in Mr. Brow’s room and discuss the 2025 season.

  • MANDATORY PARENT/RIDER TEAM MEETING

    NOVEMBER 19 at 6:45 - 8:45 PM

    At the Mill Valley Clubhouse, 283 Buena Vista Ave, Mill Valley

    We’ll be hosting an informational meeting about the upcoming season for all prospective riders and parents, explaining NICA and NorCal and sharing the excitement of what it means to ride for Tam High. You’ll learn everything you need to know in order to register and prepare for the 2023 season. It’s also a chance to meet the other riders and parents. We’ll also have team kits to try on.

  • BIKE AND HELMET CHECK

    NOVEMBER 20 at 3:30 - 5:30 PM

    The back parking lot of Tam High

    This is a mandatory equipment check. Please bring your bike and helmet to the back parking lot of Tam High. The coaches will check that they are in good working order. This is a must to ride with the team.

  • Skills Training for Freshman and Sophomores

    Dec 8th, 9-11 am

    Meet at the Depot in downtown Mill Valley

    This is mandatory for freshmen and sophomores and any new juniors and seniors joining the team.

NORCAL + NICA RACING

The Tam High MTB Team races regionally in the NorCal League. NorCal is a Chapter League within the national organization called NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association). Their mission: We build strong minds, bodies, character, and communities through cycling.

 

OUR COACHES AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

The Tam High Mountain Bike team is run solely by super cool parent volunteers. Your head coaches, Matt and Joe are passionate mountain bikers with real jobs. They love seeing kids on bikes and dedicate their spare time to helping the team find success.

 

PARENT EXPECTATIONS: IT TAKES A VILLAGE

We can’t do it alone. If your child rides, we ask you help the team in any way you can. You’ll love it, trust us, it’s a blast.

 

RIDER EXPECTATIONS

Like all high school sports, as a member of a team there are certain expectations for our riders. Your commitment as a rider will lead to miles and miles of smiles.
